Maintenance, migration and handover

A business can download an export, but the files do not show which document is current or who must act on each open request. A successful download has not prepared the team to leave the application. We offer maintenance and handover work that investigates one service's usable exit rather than promising a seamless move from an untested archive.

Choose what must continue on the next day

For a fictional Estonia-connected service business, list active requests, approved documents, responsible people and the next action attached to each. Inspect the export and supporting files available through the actual account. Supplier features and access after cancellation must be checked against the current arrangement; a general feature list is not enough.

A first paid investigation can inventory one application's dependencies, obtain an approved demonstration export and identify the missing interpretation. A later migration or repair is scoped from those findings.

Ask another person to use the exported example

Give an authorised colleague the demonstration files and accompanying explanation. Ask them to find the current document for an open request and identify the next responsible person. Record missing relationships, unexplained codes and information available only inside the old supplier's screen. Those gaps become concrete handover tasks.

Keep the remaining dependencies visible

The proposal can include an interpretation guide, an agreed export procedure and a limited rehearsal of continuing the work elsewhere. Retention, deletion and contractual responsibilities require the business and appropriate advisers; copying the files does not settle them. Ordinary backups and recovery remain separate questions.

Bring the application name, available export options and the work that must continue. The exit-plan article explains the sample to prepare. RIA's management guidance provides a useful starting point for assigning continuity and supplier responsibilities, while the engagement reports the actual limits found.

Give responsibility a named owner.

RIA’s management guidance is a useful starting point for an Estonian organisation discussing access and continuity. In the engagement, name who authorises access changes and who receives a problem report when the usual contact is absent.
